Kirsten Hunter RoseNYC photographer Kirsten Hunter Rose delights in capturing the natural beauty in her subjects. Her fun, creative spirit, refined photographic eye and unique rapport with people have led her to create exquisite artistic portraits time and time again. Kirsten’s passion is natural portraiture, fusing the elegance of fine art with the spontaneity of photojournalism. She adores natural light and frequently shoots on location-in clients’ homes or favorite outdoor settings.

Kirsten’s artistic vision and expertise have led her to photograph throughout the US, Europe and Southeast Asia. She has had multiple “solo” shows displaying her photographs of children, including the 2000 Breadcrumbs; Children of Katmandu, which documented the lives of Nepali street children. Her work has been featured in Macy’s stores and in publications such as The New York Times Online, Elegant Bride, Child Magazine, Cookie, Working Mother, and Alister & Paine. She has studied under renowned masters Joyce Tenneson and Rodney Smith and at the University of Virginia, the Maine Photographic Workshops, and the International Center of Photography.
